I don't want to know about any of the "official" freemason websites because they barely tell me anything about what they do and how they operate. By the way, can I be 18 and still join?

  1. 21 to join in most states.

www.masonicifo.com is the best for what you are looking for, but I like the UGLE site too, it gives you the opportunity to compare the similarities and differences in Masonry between the US and Britain. Quite interesting.

  2. I am a Freemason.

You can ask me. Or find a local Lodge and ask them (you can find a local Lodge in the fraternal organization section of the yellow pages, web search, ask me for help).

    ugle.co.uk

    masonicinfo.com

    freemasonry.org

    freemason.org

    pagrandlodge.org

    http://www.freemasonry.bcy.ca/

In some places and in some cases (if you are the son of a freemason) you can join at 18... your local Lodge can best answer that.

  3. All the sites cl_freem gave you are good.I was just made a master mason last month and the first thing I did was get on line to find the address and contact info for the state I'm in(arizona).I called the grand lodge in phoenix and the next day someone called me and gave me the secretary's phone number and lodge number.Joining the Freemasons has been a good choice for me. There are allot of negative sites and allot of misinformation on the web about Freemasons.Good luck and if you have questions ask cl_freem(he helped me).
