My family and I are going on a two day, one night trip to Chicago, but we're staying in a Holiday Inn Express, which doesn't serve us lunch or dinner. Where can we find a small, affordable Chinatown restaurant whose appetizers aren't $23.85? Something that a family of 6 can dine like they were paying at Denny's (not food type- wise :D)?

  1. Joy Yees

I went there last time i was in chicago, and it was delicious! they also had really good mango drinks that were like, a foot tall!

  2. I'd suggest going to the Chinatown neighborhood in Chicago.  It's on the southside of downtown, but not too far away (near the White Sox stadium).  My favorite restaurant there is Emperor's choice.  It's reasonably priced, but if you're looking for something a little cheaper you could just go down there and walk around to find one.  Chinatown has a website, although the only thing it's really useful for is directions/a map.

  3. Jin`s noodle palace  its downtown but I can`t remember exactly where it is as this was 3 yrs ago very reasonably priced and great selection of dishes

  4. The most affordable restaurant is Chinatown Cafe 2604 S. Wentworth. It's located about 3 blocks South of Chinatown but in a safe area. It's not a beautiful restaurant but the food is really good and the price is right for a family of 6. This place is where you will see Chicago Police, State Police and Cook County Sheriffs having lunch or dinner, it's safe. Check out the hours because there not open late in the evening.
