Where can I find local 5k and 10k races in my area?

I'm trying to find a website that has a list of local races. I am running a marathon May 2009 and want to run a 5k, 10k and half sometime in between.

Well first find your states local track website. For example mine is www.mainetrackclub.com. You can also use active, runner's world, map my run, or search your local newspapers website.

Besides active.com, you may want to simply type in 5K or 10K and the city you wish to run in on a search engine (yahoo, google, etc.).  All 5K's and 10K's aren't published on active...

I use active.com, it has so many race choices and a lot of events ask you to preregister through the site.. good luck with your races! :)

You can find races in your area very easy. Use active.com or google.com and use the information. Also you can buy a running magazine and look at the list of races and it has all the 5k and 10k races.
