I have my PSP and I have my O2 wireless broadband. When trying to set up the internet connection on my PSP, it asks me for my WEP, where can i locate this key, do I need it and how important is it. Have i missed something else as well perhaps, so if this does not sound right, what else do i do, how do I set up my internet? Thanks!

  1. Dont think its possible, its asking for the wep key for a wireless router

  2. A WEP key is a security code generated in your wireless router. You need this code in your PSP in order to connect to your security enabled, wireless network. If you log into your router you should be able to find it in the settings.

  3. setting up your Internet connection requires your SSID which stands for service set identifier, WEP wired equivalent privacy, and sometimes your password. the first two you can find them at the back of your router or Hub.while the password should be given to you by your Internet service provider.

  4. its on the router

  5. You need to log into the administrator section of your router. It has an IP address that you can access with your browser. A common default is:

    http://192.168.1.1

Of course yours might be different.

One there, you can look up the WEP key. You'll need to enter this in your PSP so it can code/decode the signal.
