Question:

Where can I find nice beads & jewelery supplies online?

I have heard that firemountaingems.com sells cheap beads, I am looking for more like glass one or nice looking resin ones and also sterling sliver clasps and findings. Does anyone order from a site that is reasonable and had good luck with them? I am just worried picking one randomly from google and getting ripped off. Thanks!

  1. omg u should defintely check out the stuff in china town (or other asian towns)... they look sooooo real and inexpensive

  2. I actually don't like firemountain that much.

Here are some of my favorites...

  3. National bead company. Michaels now has an online store, too.

  4. a web site called beaderfic

  5. mybeadpoint.com from singapore

  6. Fire Mountain has good stuff, if you know what you are looking for. Their sterling and Swarovski Crystal options are good. A lot of their glass is cheap, but some of the pressed glass and fire polished glass is a good deal, depending on what you are looking for. I order from them mainly for their cotton filled boxes, Swarovski and base metal components such as metal links, clasps, etc.

Here are some links to other sites I use:

    http://gr8beads.com/

    http://fusionbeads.com/

    http://www.artbeads.com/

    http://purebeads.com/

Also check out eBay and Etsy.com, where you'll find lots of sellers who provide a wide variety of unique beads and supplies.

  7. Artbeads.com (mentioned earlier) is really great because you can order one tiny bead  or a huge amount and it's free shipping. How cool is that?

Brightlingbeads.com is another with free shipping but minimum $25. That can actually save you money sometimes if you're purchasing more.

Both sites sold very quality products.

The Svaroski (sp?) crystals make stunning jewelry and both sites sell those. I also love natural 'rock' or 'gemstone' kind of beads and freshwater pearls.

Most sites you find on google will be safe if they have a decent looking storefront and you can pay with CC or paypal. Both paypal and your CC allow you to dispute a charge if you don't get your shipment so you can consider that a 'safe' site. But as soon as you get to a site, make note of the shipping costs. Low prices don't go far if the shipping is high.

  8. Check out at Goodybeads.com

They have many glass beads to choose from and sterling silver clasps too.  You can get tools and beads at a good price.

I was happy with my purchase.

Also you can sometimes find good buys at etsy.com

    Loads of varieties also.

  9. You can buy them for cheap from

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/search?ie=UTF8&...

    Hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  10. I always use http://www.jillybeads.co.uk
