Where can I find out if some comics I found are worth anything?

I found a stack of comics that are mostly from the 1980's along with some original X-Men collectible cards. I was wondering if there was a place I could research the comics I have and see if they are worth anything?

  2. Yeah, you can go to E-Bay, but you are going to get prices that are not accurate. They will be prices decided by the seller. I suggest to purchase a wizard magazine for around 5 bucks. I know that sucks, but you can then sell them to make the money back. Either that, or attempt to type in the comics title, who put out the comic (e.g. DC, Marvel), and then the year. Follow this by value of comic. Maybe you'll have some luck!

  3. Take them to a comic shop and ask the person there to look them up.Or buy a Wizard magazine it is a comic and action figure price guide.

  5. Ebay is a good place to go.

It does give you a "realistic" value for the comics and cards you have.

Wizard tends to over value comics and cards especially for companies that advertise in their magazine.

If you can't find a comparable value or values on Ebay. Do a general search for on-line comic stores and search out your cards and comics to see if they have them and what they are selling them for.

Remember a store has to mark up the prices to pay for their rent business etc. So a more realistic value would be the completed sales on Ebay...

    Good Luck!
