As in how our cavemen ancestors lived? Anthropology I think it is called isn't it? The study of humans? Is it known things like how many children they would have and age gaps, things like that?

We don't have any real information on child-rearing techniques, etc, simply because there was no writing at that time to record the information.

I would imagine that they would have been similar to the less technologically advanced people today in parts of Brazil, New Guinea and Africa.  You should be able to find info about them online:
