I want to find out when trains go by specific crossings within the los angeles area south of the airport. Is there a website with the times of these trains?

  1. You might want to try to call your local rail road station. I am sure that they can help you with your question.

  2. Call the railroad that your talking about.  Or call a Station nearest the crossing your talking about. You can also get a schedule of when the trains are due into the Station  and figure it out for yourself.

  3. If someone called, or stopped me and requested info on train times at certain crossings, I'd have to notify the authorities.  It's one thing to be a fan of the rails, but don't try and request too much info.  It will surly throw up a red flag for you.  You might just see a black Suburban with Government tags pull into your driveway.

  4. Even if that information were available (it isn't), it is highly unlikely you or anyone else would be given it.

I'm not sure, but I think is has to do with 9/11......

  5. Post your question on a railfan forum, such as:

    http://www.railroad.net

Someone will likely point you in the right direction, or give you a link to a site with the schedules.

  6. are you talking about amtrack of the l.a. light rail system ?

your best bet is to call both of them and ask about it ,or just

go and wait at the point your talking about and figure it out from there .

  7. Well, freight train timetables are no longer available to the public due to heightened security concerns (i.e., terrorism and 9/11), so unless you have/know inside sources (i.e., someone with the railroad/s) to such information it is not possible to obtain.
