I need pictures of the Arc Shell, Knobbed Shell, Peri winkle, Boat Shell, & Jingle Shell. My curriculm for this month is Fun In The Sun. These pictures need to be black & white, printable not to small, not to big. My students are Pre-School.

  1. you should google it...

  2. lol.  I still can't believe themes are big in ECE. A more DAP approach would be to have these materials out for the kids to discover. Let them sketch their own pix of shells. Have materials for the 'theme' available for the kids to use, discover, sketch, develop drama/music skits, whatever to make the experience 'their own'. Have sand box out (water table), maybe add a couple of shells. Books can tie in the theme. Even a buried treasure book may inspire some ideas. Then you can add 'treasure' in that sandbox for the kids to discover.  Have a beach ball, along w/ other balls. Kids can discover physics (pre-math skills) by rolling the different balls and making predictions about speed or movement. I do love this project, after we are finished w/ a project like this we have  a' Beach Party'. I have done mine in January before! We just get permission to turn up the heat, and bring to school in 'beach clothes' and have a 'beach party'!   Have fun !!!!  Kids as young as three can 'sketch', sure it will not look like a shell, but as they get older, the pix will look like a shell!  And, this not only teaches observation skills, it teaches pre-writing skills.

  3. Anytime I need coloring pages, I go to

    http://images.google.com

Type in "coloring page" and whatever it is I am looking for.  Here's the one for sea shells and it has a lot:

  4. Well i found the arc shell, i was going to do it for you, but then i seen you where you dont let others email you so you will have to do it yourself. Google them when i did it i found the arc shell but its in color so i saved the pic on my computer and then went to http://www.picnik.com and there you can make them black and white.
