I plan to create some paper art and I need polyester stuffings and water-based polyurethane. I also need other arts and crafts materials but it seems that there is none in Makati and Ortigas? Where do the creative people in the Philippines buy their materials???

  1. It should be similar to the U.S.

We usually buy our polyester stuffing (and batting) in fabric stores, but occasionally they can be found in other general-type stores.

Polyurethanes are generally found in hardware stores, although there are other acrylic (water-based) sealers that can be used on paper too that you can find in an arts and crafts or art supply store (various brands of acrylic "glaze" or "sealer," and "acrylic gloss medium," for example) or you can make your own sealer that dries clear and glossy with permanent "white glue" thinned 3 or 4 to one with water.  You can even use clear fingernail polish.

Some people also like to use 2-part epoxy resins, or 2-part epoxy "glues" (but seal paper or nonwaterproof ink/paint with that glue-water solution first though to avoid bleeding) ... and if you'll be casting anything in a mold, 2-part polyester resins instead.
