I am especially looking for restaurants that have kid friendly gluten free and casein free meals at reasonable prices in houston, tx. My child cannot have anything with wheat or milk.

  1. I did not find a totally gluten free and casein free restuarant listing for Houston.  Since keeping free from these items is a major concern for your diet, I suggest going only to vegetarian restaurants that know what these items are (wheat and diary) and know exactly how  their food is prepared with no additives.  Unfortunately, these places are not inexpensive, of course, I'm telling you something you know all too well.  It sounds like a good part of our society could benefit from going on a diet like this!

    Sunfired Raw & Vegetarian Deli

    (713) 643-2884

4915 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd

    Van Loc

    (713) 528-6441

    3010 Milam St

    Ziggy's Healthy Grill

    (713) 527-8588

    2202 W Alabama St.

    Field of Greens

    2320 W. Alabama 77098

    (713) 533-0029

    Tien Ren Vegetarian Restaurant

    7549 Westheimer Rd., 77063

    (713) 977-3137

I realized that you may or may not be vegetarian, but these restuarants, I would hope, would be more careful to know exactly what goes into their dishes.  They also tend to cook with fresh, non-processed items.

    Best of everything to you!

Oh, I also found a listing of an online bakery---gluten free.

  2. Try Field of Greens. But if you order vegies and salads and grilled meats almost anyplace you can have gluten or casein free foods.

  3. I am enclosing a web site for autism that has a list of GFCF restaurants.  Hopefully that will help especially when you look at the chain restaurants.  Hope this helps.

  4. Pei Wei Asian diner offers a few of their menu items that are gluten free.  I'm not sure about the casein, but it doesn't look like anything that has milk/cheese products in it.

You can find their gluten free menu on their website which I've listed below.
