  1. Only larger grocery stores in large cities will carry sago in their Asian food section.  They are also called tapioca pearls. sometimes they are kept near the rice in the grocery stores.

Try any Asian store, they will definitely have it.   You will find it in any Indian store grocery store, it is called "sabudana".

  2. Alot depend were you live, but here in Canada our's is in the aisle were they sell either the puddings/pie filling and Jellos or in the international aisle.

If you have any Asian markets/grocery stores that specialize in Chinese, Vietnamese food they will carry it and do refer to it as sago, that will get you the larger type used for bubble tea/boba tea and in special dessert dishes with coconut milk.

  3. I had the same problem looking for Sago. I eventually found it in the desert section, with the jelly's and rice pudding and desert packet mixes. There was only one brand available though.

This was in Woolworth's in Australia

  4. At any asian shop and ask for sabudana!

  5. On my planet, a sago is a cycad, a plant which resembles a palm.  Please e-d-u-c-a-t-e me.
