I'd like to see some samples or a general outline for reference before I begin writing my own. I am applying for a Pell grant to go to IT school and am having problems finding books at the library or websites dealing with non-business related "letter of intent". Someone please HELP. Thx.

  1. I'm not sure...but you can try www.fafsa.ed.gov

  2. I have been working in higher education for nine years and have never heard of a "letter of intent" required for applying for financial aid.  Perhaps that's why you aren't having any luck. What exactly is the purpose of the letter and what is it going to be used for?  Find those things out and you will be able to write a better letter.

Pell grants are based on income and your financial need.  The only thing I can possibly thing a letter of intent would be applicable here is what is your purpose of going to school.  If this is the purpose, be sure you answer correctly because some people can go to school and their "intent" is not sufficient enough to get them the Pell.... even if they financially qualify for it.  Simply stated, write the letter answering the question... what is your intent for attending this school.  What do you want to do?
