I'm a junior in high school with an overall GPA of about 3.8. My ACT score is 27. My family is low-income. Where can I find scholarships to help me pay for college?

[If it means anything, I'm in MI, and I'd like to go to school here too...]

  1. log onto google and ask the question - after you look at the hundreds of scholarships available, go through and find the ones in the area that you want to be in....find out what their requirements are (transcripts, essays, etc.)..Good luck on your dream of college, may you be successful!  Cindi

  2. First make sure you send in your FAFSA. With a good score, you should get the Michigan Merit money. You will probably get some federal aid also. Then there is the money the school may give you. If you are really wanting to look for scholarships, go to www.fastweb.com

We're from Michigan and my kids didn't get any scholarships but they did get help and did quite well. My daughter got room and board based on her tests and grades. Then the Pell grant and things. We paid some, but not too much.
