I've found some good sites that sells blank shirts, but I'm not sure if I have to buy a certain type of shirt? most of the shirts are 100% cotton, I'm wondering if they'll stretch the image of the transfer?

  1. Hobby Lobby

  2. The spot where the transfer is, will not stretch. So you just have to make sure the shirt is big enough to wear without stretching. If you're using cotton, you should wash it first to pre-shrink and get the sizing chemicals off.

  3. Usually the iron-on is sturdy enough to hold up to the bit of stretching. Generally you will find that they will stick to the shirt better if you wash the shirts with detergent only and no fabric softener. If you're doing a lot of iron-ons I would recommend a Teflon pressing sheet, it will keep your iron clean and help the process go much faster.

Hobby Lobby does have a great assortment of shirts. This week they have a coupon for 40% off 1 item! Happy ironing!
