Where can I find shrink plastic?

I'm trying to find the plastic that is used in shrinky-dinks, but obviously without having to actually buy the shrinky-dink kit. Any one know where I can find the shrink plastic?

  1. First, "shrink plastics" are any plastics which will shrink when heated to a certain temperature.  They come as blank sheets (or kits, I guess) of various brands (Shrink Art, PolyShrink, ShrinkPlastic, etc.), and also come as preprinted images on those sheets.

(There is also clear thin vinyl tubing that will shrink when heated... that's the kind you'd find at a hardware store.)

Other plastics that can be found around the house/etc will also shrink though, and can be used as shrink plastics.

As mentioned, you can find them in craft and hobby stores, maybe in art supply stores and ordinary "general stores", as well as all kinds of variations online.

If you want more info on the topic of shrink plastics, this page can be helpful:

  2. Home Depo or walmart

    most likely home depo

  3. Micheal's Craft store ;)))

  4. You can buy just the plastic right from Shrinky Dinks, without having to buy a whole kit:

There are several colors as well as frosted to choose from, including the clear, (which is $4.70 for a pack of 10 sheets that measure 8 x 10 inches each).

They also sell shrink plastic at retail stores like Michael's, Hobby Lobby, and Joann Fabrics stores.
