Where can I find single parent continuing education scholarships?

I'm a 27-year-old single mother and I've decided to go back t school. I already have a bachelor's degree, but it's in English and I can't do anything with it that pays more than $10 an hour. I also can't raise my child and pay all our bills on $10 an hour, so I've decided to go back to school to supplement my degree. In going back to school I have to quit my full time job so I'm going to be even more broke. I don't want a pile of student loans eating up all my money after I graduate because what's the point in making more money if I've only got more bills to pay? Where can I apply online for a continuing education scholarship for a single mother? All the sites I've found tell you where to find scholarships on other sites and pretty much all of those either charge a fee I can't afford to apply or are not offered for people who have a degree. This is really stressing me out!

  1. Try looking into www.scholarships.com.  they have a variety of scholarships you  can look into.  I am also a single mom trying to go to college....Good luck...

  2. AGTER JOINING THED SCHOOL BE THERRE IN THE SCHOOL AND PIC UP REQUIRED SCHOOLRSHIP FOR YOU  AS ONLY SUM OF 70 $--80 DOLLARS       you get?

  3. I know you are probably sick of seeing links and redirects, but I truly believe this link will help you.  It is an organization that assists single mothers in various aspects.  It is not welfare, it is not charity, it is information.  I believe that is what you are asking for.  They also provide 900 scholarship programs, and have links to other applications to assist  you in going back to school.  I sincerely hope this helps, and best of luck to you.

  4. I don't know where you live but in Michigan there is a program called Michigan works. Even then you have to prove you can't use your degree. I know all this because my daughter is in the same boat you are in. Same circumstances, etc. all but her former degree and the one she's working towards. At Michigan works you have to be going to school for one of the programs in high demand areas and it must be completed in one year. Right now she is working about 35 hours per week and going to school part time on her own (credit card). I really sympathize with you.
