Where can I find some not to fancy restaurants?

If you are in the San Fernando Valley a little place called Spumoni in Sherman Oaks is great.  Food is good, atmosphere casual and the prices aren't bad.  If you like Persian food Darand in Tarzana or Javan in Santa Monica.  Of course there are chain places all over...Chili's, Olive Garden, Outback and the like.

Theres this little family resturant I love going to in Burbank its called Hillstreet Cafe its on Glenoaks Blvd, it has great service and good food! Have fun!!

It sort of depends on where you live to know what restaurants are nearby.  But in terms of chains-- Lucille's is great, Chili's is pretty good, Elephant Bar, PF Changs, Johnny Carinos,  On The Border if she likes Mexican, Outback's has good food.  I have not seen an Applebees anywhere in L.A.  There is one in West Covina that I pass on my way to Palm Springs, but if you can find one, the food there is fairly good too.
