  1. I don't think you mean 'natural gas to transport'

Natural Gas is used for "a vapor in a pipeline" Natural Gas is used for a fuel, but usually it heats homes. Natural Gas is NG or LNG.

I think you mean FOssil fuel. How much fossil fuel to transport it to sevice stations.

ethanol, like everything else in US is transported  by DIESEL powered 18 wheelers. also the COMBINES that harvest the crops are DEISEL POWERED.

So I think your asking for info on CROP TO FUEL TANK, environmental impact of ethanol from 'growth of crop' to 'end user fuel tank'

including the cost and envirnmental impact of the transportation of ethanol to the end-user.

check out search engines for "green" ethanol, also "environmental impact "ethanol

I could go thru them for you but really you want to know not me !! hahah

here is PROBABLY what your really asking

life cycle of ethanol production— the energy used to produce and transport the Corn base-stock, to the energy used to produce the Ethanol from the Corn, to the energy used in the Distribution of Ethanol to End-User (car fuel tanks).
