Where can I find steel rings, capable of being used to make chainmail, thats cheap?

They do not have to be cut. It seems anything with the name 'Chainmail' attached, sky rockets the prices per pound.

Stainless steel is preferred, but galvanized steel is just as good.

If you can give me a site or location, I'de greatly appreciate it!

  1. What about a scrap yard?  They may have what you need.

  2. most that you find will be precut. How do you plan on linking them if at least some of them are not cut?

stainless steel isn't going to be cheap- anodized aluminum is about as cheap as you will get and still have enough strength to hold it's shape

  3. I guess about the cheapest thing you could do is get some steel pipe of about the right diameter and cut your own rings off of that.

Might  not be the fastest way

  4. I've gotten them from theringlord.com

  5. http://www.balibarn.com maybe? or mail them to support@balibarn.com. Hope it could solved.

  6. For a price of under $100, it might be cheaper to just unravel one of these chain mail shirts:

Although the rings on that one are made from anodized aluminum, and not steel.
