Not online. JoAnn's is a little expensive. Does Walmart sell patterns? What about GoodWill, Salvation Army, or other second-hand stores?

  1. Actually, JoAnn, Hobby Lobby, Hancock and others regularly have different patterns on sale for $1.99 or even $.99.  Sign up to get their mailings and you will know when the pattern sales are.  When they do, I stock up!  Walmart has patterns, but their selection is very slim.

  2. Wal-mart 50% off every day. Look at the sale ads ofr Jo Ann's , Hobby Lobby or Handcocks. They all have Sales on patterns for .99 cents or 1.99. Keep an eye out ;))))

  3. But there are good places online where you can find patterns! My suggestion is BurdaStyle. All you need to do is register (free) and log in to be able to download most patterns. Some (only a few) are available at really low prices (for example: 1.25), but most are free to download. You can print the pattern at home and gather the pieces together before using it (or print it at a copy shop if you wish).

BurdaStyle has some really cute patterns, and there are great sewing tips too (http://www.burdastyle.com/howtos)!

I hope you like my suggestion! Hugs! =D

Do try BurdaStyle, I think you'll like it!

  4. Walmart has Simplicity and possibly Jiffy patterns for sure.

Not all Walmart stores have a fabric department. Your Walmart Supercenters have them. You may run across a pattern or two at Good Will not at Salvation Army. Your best bet is Walmart Supercenter. The fabric departments I have been in have a nice selection and good pricing too. Good Luck!

  5. Go to JoAnn's and Hancock's online.  Sign up for their sales flyers.  Both company's regularly put their patterns on sale -- prices range from .99 up to aboutt $3.50 for Vogue.  Typically, when one's having a pattern sale, the other one is also (although it may be a different brand of pattern).  Hobby Lobby will also put their patterns on sale for about the same prices.

Second-hand, thrift, Goodwill, etc, are great sources of patterns -- many uncut.  I find patterns for .25 each at a local thrift store.
