Where can I find the full story about the face cards?

A friend told that the king of hearts in a deck of cards killed himself because his wife, the queen of hearts cheated on him. She said there was a whole story about all the face cards, but she didn't know it. Does anyone know where I can find the full story?

I don't know why, but I've been looking at the face cards of my deck, and now I'm absolutely fascinated by the whole idea that the face cards actually have some background to them.
