I believe it was in the news a few years ago. Possibly in South America and I believe it was because they planted their crops according to his forecast and the weather turned. This group of villagers held him accountable and murdered him.

I vaguely remember something about that from years ago, however to be honest I do not think you will be able to find it anywhere.
