Where can I find the water cooling attachment that fits on top of an a/c unit and sprays out water

I saw this on TV. it sets on an outside a/c unit and when the unit starts it sprays out a fine spray of water which helps keeps the unit cool.

Shading the condenser helps very little when it is the outside air temp that is drawn into the coil to cool the refrigerant. Now the misting units have good points and bad points, for the good in the heat of the day they will reduce the head pressure a little. Now for the bad points the water that is used must be filtered or over time it will clogg up the coil with minerals. The water over time will cause the equipment to rust out faster than normal. If used too much everything will turn green due to algee growth and that will block the coil too. And if you need to clean the condenser with cleaner because of growth or minerals the aluminium fins will fall apart. So the amount of energy you save will cost you in equipment over the long haul!

I saw that too, call up you local A/C supply store and ask them. Its hard for us to find whre you can get one seeing as we do not know your location.

I wouldn't make a habit of spraying water onto the condenser.Normal rainfall over time shortens the life of the condenser motor and other components if they get wet.It drys out the prelubricated condenser motor.Moisture cuts the life in half.

If the head is that high put a tent or awning 4 or 5 feet above the unit to  create shade and lower the head that way.
