  1. contact smud

  2. Contact SMUD and ask them, they should either have the reports and be able to send them to you, or know exactly who you need to call for them.

  3. Have you checked with the local water management districts?

  4. Call your water company and ask for their latest CCR (Consumer Confidence Report but sometimes described as "Customer Can't Read").

  5. Your water supply company, if you are in Sacramento and the are using their water.

All of my water companies were sending this info periodically to my address as required by law, along with the water bill. They were also posting it on the sites. They also would test the water from my Kitchen on my request. I had requested it at least once because of they had shut the water for few hours to make new connection. So I had to flush the line to make sure there was no cotamination.

So just call the water supply company that supplys the water to the county, but there may be many companies each supplying various city and towns and villages within the county.

Some homes may be on individual well and in that case the owners are requiered by law to examine the well and have the water tasted periodicaly. Test use to run about $40.00 few years ago, and I do not know about the inspection cost.
