  1. www.oser.ed.gov  spec ed site from the govt

    www.ed.gov

    www.disabilityinfo.gov

www.nichcy.org is the centeral clearinghouse on special ed in every state and us territory.

  2. ivillage.com

  3. Yahoo groups, dyslexic homeschoolers

    www.dyscalculiaforum.com

    www.being_dyslexic.co.uk   Spelling is wrong?

    www.interdys.com or org ?

    www.healthboards.com or org?

  4. Here is an excellent one:

    www.fcsn.org

This is the website for the Federation for Children with Special Needs. It is a non-profit agency in Boston, Massachusetts that provides information, resources, and advocacy for parents of children with special needs. It was founded in 1975 and has been going strong ever since. It was the first organization of its kind, and since then, similar parent training and information centers (PTI's) have opened in almost every state.  This website is exactly what you are looking for!

EDIT: I also recommend the four that CCC suggested. Use them, plus the Federation website, and you'll be all set! Or, if you are not from Massachusetts, you may want to use the PTI for your state. Do an internet search for "parent training and information center" plus the name of the state where you live. (I am guessing that you are in fact from Massachusetts, or is it purely a coincedence that your screen name contains the number of the special education law known as Chapter 766 of the General Laws of Massachusetts?)

  5. Just go online and google it. You can put in the search engine key words such as: Autism, ADD, Cerbral Palsey, Children with brain trauma, retardation, etc. There are thousands of websites that are devoted to helping parents with special needs children.

  6. www.wrightslaw.com

    www.reedmartin.com

    www.schwablearning.org

THe 1st to are about special ed laws and what schools and parents have to do legally in order to get the child help thru special ed.

The 2nd one deals with the childs actual problems and what to do to help them.

  7. I have a son with special needs and one website to look at is pafamilies@alltel.net. You may also contact your local welfare department that would give you listing of sites or if you have an Early Intervention Center in your area they would supply you with various websites
