Where can I find writing about travel?

Question

For my intro acting class, our instructor wants us to find some kind of writing about something we are passionate about. The writing cannot be something that was meant to be performed unless it is like a speech.

I am passionate about traveling and seeing new places and learning about new culture and such. Does anyone know some of writing that describes what traveling is all about. I was hoping for it to sound poetic is some sort.
