Where can I get Iron or Cast Iron Shots used for boat ballast?

I know that lead is the way to go nowadays for boat ballast, but I am in search of 10 tons of Iron Shot.

try the bilge of an old salvaged sailboat.

not sure....why not try a local foundry/smelting plant...i mate works in a large machine shop,out side which are skips containg all different types of metals...hope this helps.
