Where can I get Sailing and Canoeing certification on Long Island NY?

I want to apply for a summer job at a summer camp, which includes sailing and conoeing. I already took a US Power Squadrons Boating Course. which included Sail and Power Boating. I'm not sure if that counts as a certification for sailing, and definately not for canoeing. Where on Long Island NY can I look and/or take courses for sailing and canoeing? Thanks

  1. Inquire, American Canoe Association, for canoe classes. Sailing? What kind? Locate local clubs or groups.
