Question:

Where can I get a 20+ foot AV Component Cable?

I need a long AV Component cable to go through the ceiling and hook into my projector so I can get 720p resolution on my PS3, and better sound quality. The common electronic store (best buy, circuit city, etc.) only sell 6 and 10 ft AV Component Cables. I checked eBay and didn't find anything. Does anyone know where I can find a 20+ foot cable?

Thanks

  1. www.cablestogo.com

    weeder

  2. I'm assuming you can't use HDMI? If so, do because it will be more future proof for future upgrades. You would need a in-wall rated cable. See the 1st link for one of the best cable suppliers around.

You can make a component cable using three 25 ft lengths of coax cable and 6 F-connector to RCA adapters (last link, or buy locally). Or, buy on-line. See links 2 (or look for Component cables at the 1st link).

  3. I've had very good luck just using a sterio cable with phono plugs. Those usually come in long lengths. You can also build your own using coax cable and connectors you can buy at any hardware store.

  4. try www.partsexpress.com.  they've always had anything i ever needed.  they're a really respected site so i wouldn't be afraid to use them, have used them lots in fact.
