Well, as usual Sam have all the information you require.  Contact the Embassy in NY for all the additional details.

all my peeps in NY actually ordered their e-birth paper when they came on vacation, or filled out the form and sent it home to be processed, so i dont know how its done thru the embassy.

I think you have to return to T&T to get it (unless some extreme circumstances prevents this)

Just visit that site, it has the link to the application. The first birth certificate is free, but additional copies cost TT$25.00.

I not sure if you have to mail the application to Trinidad, or if you can send it to an embassy...

For real... I want to know to.. I know it have a embassy somehwere in NY i juss eh kno where xctly.. I wud like to get my birth paper too cuz my current birth paper look like it been thru WWII

There is the option to get the birth paper via post. You have to collect the forms, either from TTPOST or the Ministry of Legal Affiars (which you can't do because you reside in NY) or you can download it from the Ministry of Legal Affairs. You post it in to the respective address on the form (it will have it on the back) and then they mail it back to you.
