Where can I get a broken fridge to dress a house?

I've refurbished an old house to sell but the budget is running low so I want to buy or get my hands on a tall broken fridge/freezer to put in the kitchen just for viewings. There's an empty gap in the worktop so I can't just leave it empty. Any ideas please?!

  1. try your local council refuge centre...

  2. If you have any council estates or flats near you there are nearly always ones sitting awaiting collection. If you're lucky you might find one that the cabinet is in good nick.

  3. there is this new site i have just joined its www.freecycle.com and people go on there to give things away that they dont want, you can join your local group and every time someone puts a listing up you will get an email, they have rules and the first one is that everything that goes on there has to be free.

  4. You can't buy broken fridges as they are taken to a special place to get rid of dangerous gases.

I suggest you look on eBay or through your local papers/freeads.

  5. You might try your local recycling centre..

There is one near to Gorton..

I was there earlier this week ..

  6. a junkyard?

OR ask the people at like Art Van or IKEA where they get their fake appliances (likke TV's) and ask if you could get a fridge.

  7. Go to your local recycling centre (tip) they usually have old electrical items

  8. Ebay or junkyard. Try Freecycle
