Question:

Where can I get a cheap, decent snowboard package?

I went snowboarding for the first time and I think I may want to take it up. I'll have to go a few more times to figure out if it's something that I really want to put money into, but I want to make sure I don't get ripped off if I do buy stuff.

I'm clearly a beginner and don't really know much everything is, so where is a good place that I can get a nice deal? What size/brand should I look for? I'm about 5'9" and weigh 146-148 lbs. I need the works, board, binding, and boots. I'm looking to stay at or under $250 if possible

  1. At ski hut in duluth.

  2. the-house.com   best place to get snowboard package, it's mad each there and i believe it's free shipping too. DO NOT buy from boardsforless.com their stuff may be cheap, but their ****** shipping fee will rip u off. i regret for not looking at the-house.com before i got my board and there's so many selections at the-house.com too

  3. the-house.com

    for a beginner:

5'9 you want a 151 - 154 board, brand does'nt matter at this stage. Bindings don't really matter on brand they're all good at this stage as well. The boots is where you want to drop your cash... go with either DC or Vans because they are shoe companies and they know what they are doing.  Also look for the "BOA" lace feature which will make your beginner days alot easier.  Spend $150-$200 on the boots it's worth it.  Bad boots = Bad snowboarding.

for a beginner it doesn't really matter what brand of board you have.  The first couple seasons you can rock a cheap a$$ board and it'll be just fine.

I have a buddy who rides a cheap Lamar $100 board from sports authority and he's doing 360 jumps with it and those guys with the $550 Forum boards can't do squat!

  4. check out the following website. It describes in great detail how to choose a bord (by size, style, ability, etc.)

They also have a a few videos.

I've been snowboarding for 5 seasons now, every season the passion grows. Planning to change my beginner board to a better one and I've used this website as a guide, which helped me a lot.

    Good luck
