Question:

Where can I get a cheap mini amplifier?

I have a couple of spare speakers I'd like to mount in the dining room. I am planning on taking the output from the receiver in the living room into an extra amp in the dining room, then running the speakers through that amp.

Problem is, I have limited room and just want a diddy amp with a low output. But I can't seem to find any stand-alone amplifier that is small enough. Does anyone know of any such an amp and where I might be able to buy one?

Thanks!

  1. Try something like this.......

If you don't want to spend that much, they go for about £25 on ebay, they're a very good basic amp with a decent sound.

  2. I know what you are looking for but they are becoming harder to find.  Radio Shack used to sell a few small stereo amplifiers.

You might consider just getting a cheap ($99 US) receiver.  There are a few out there:

You could get a cheap DJ stereo power amp too for a bit more:

Sorry, neither of those are "mini".

  3. Ebay's your best bet. One example:-
