  1. You can try the Social Security Administration.  They have the records back the last 60 years or so.  It will cost you approximately $30 a year for the information.

    Do a search at www.ssa.gov

    Helen, EA in PA

  2. Your annual SSA statement will give you the total of covered income for the those years.  You should already be getting this in the mail, for free, every year.   This is form SSA-7004.

You can request an earnings history report from the SSA and it will show the employment history.  This form SSA-7050. The fee is $60 for all 25 years.

  3. visit IRS website and download form 4506-T and wage information will be sent to you, read the form it gives you the years that are available to be sent to you.

    www.irs.gov

  4. You may get this information more easily from SS than from IRS.

This is why some people save their tax records for a long time.  You aren't going to be able to go back that far at IRS.

  5. You can ask the IRS for a transcript of all info they received against your SSN for any year you would like.  But I don't think you can go back 25 years.  You need to download, fill out, and file form 4506-T.

You can also get your record of earnings that had social security taken from it for your whole life.  It will give a total for each year, but will not include the employers' names.  You can request that from the social security administration.
