  1. annualcreditreport.com

  2. annualcreditreport.com is the official free website.

  3. Slimick is right. annualcreditreport is the site. Do not contact the credit bureaus individually.

  4. www.equifax.com

  5. "freecredit report.com" is a con.  It is not free!  You only get it "free" as a bonus for buying their "credit protection service" which does NOT protect your credit!  Never sign up for any sort of "credit protection service" -- there is no protection, only at best an email alert if someone pulls your credit (e.g. the car dealer where you just applied for a car loan).  In fact, the more places which have credit info or personal data on you, the greater your risk of identity theft.

The only place where you can get your free annual credit report from all 3 major reporting services, as required by federal law, is "annualcreditreport.com."  This is run by Equifax, Experian & TransUnion expressly to fulfill their credit reporting requirements as required by law.  You can download all three reports once per year.  Do NOT sign up for their "credit monitoring service" either!
