Where can I get a good job?

Question

First of all, I really do not want a job in any store that sells food. My preference would be a popular retail store, so that I can get good discounts. I've never had a job before, or tried to get one, so I'm completely clueless on how to apply. I'm 14 years old, which makes it harder to find one, but this site ( http://www.youthrules.dol.gov/index.htm ) says that at 14 i can work in retail stores. Can someone please ell me where to get a good job? Thanks!

Its good that you have done some research and know what you like work wise. I think the best for you to do is to go and have a browse around local retail stores and see what stores you like. After this, print out your resume and take them around, asking if they are hiring and if they aren't could they please keep you in mind, tell them that you are very interested in a career in retail. This approach is good because it lets the store manager will remember you from being face to face.

Also, if you have Job link plus or other buisnesses like it, go there as they link people with work. And if you arent interested in what they suggest thats fine.
