Question:

Where can I get a good quality katana?

It doesn't need to be real, a.k.a made by a licensed Japanese sword smith. I'm just looking for a katana that's not meant for merely decorative purposes or made of some cheap c**p like stainless steel. I would also prefer a sword with a real hamon.

Note: It would be nice if I could get one for under a thousand US dollars, but it's not a necessity.

  1. you really just have to find a decent sword shop in your town... i guess you could google it or something. also if you ever go to a japanese exhibit in a museum, the stores always seem to have decent ones.

  2. maybe http://www.handmadesword.com the best choice for you.

Most of their katana swords are made of high carbon steel, practical ones. And various for choice.

    Good luck!
