Please, just answer the questions, I do not need the advices, which degree is better to get. I need your opinion about economics.

  1. Congratulations on making a fine choice in degrees!  Most of the analysts I work with have economics degrees and they come straight out of college.

Many econ grads go into finance related fields such as investment banking.  Others go work for many of the economic consulting companies that are out there (google economic consulting for names). The CIA hires econ majors with good data analysis skills (check out the CIA website job listings). Also, my favorite recommendation, go to usajobs.gov and do a search for "analyst."

After working in the professional field I recommend you continue your studies and go for your MBA, MPP, JD or MA in Econ.

    Good luck!

  2. well my mom is working to get a bachelor's degree in economics too.

my mom was offered a job just recently. 30,000$ before her degree 70,000$-100,000$ after she earned her degree. so getting a degree is definitely the way to go. where to find a job though i dont know. might have to get to u on that

  3. I think the more important question is what do you really want to do with your life?  If you do what you have a passion for, the money will follow.  Trust me.  I've chased the money - I followed my BA up with an MBA, a JD, and finally an M.Ed. in Counseling.  I never made as much money as an attorney or a CEO as I did when I started a business helping kids with disabilities and emotional problems.  The difference?  What I do now is not just work - it's a mission.  My recommendation is to not put the cart before the horse.  If you do, you may find yourself doing miserable work for the next 40 years until your retire - or die from a stress-related illness.  Why not enjoy the ride instead?
