Where can I get a ladder for the loft (bed) in my dorm room? I already asked and my school does NOT provide them. It's just hard to get into my loft. Most people can just climb up the sides but our room is so small that both ends of the lofts are either touching a wall or the other loft. Right now, my roommate stands on a heater than jumps into bed. I climb onto my desk and hop into mine, usually resulting in my hitting my head on the ceiling. So if anyone knows where to get a ladder, that would be amazing! Thanks!

  1. ikea.

    home depot.

  2. It might be well to go to a home supply store and buy a five step A-frame ladder. It could come in handy for other things later...such as getting things off top shelves in a cupboard or hanging photos and other wall things when you have your own more permanent digs.

  3. I would not suggest using a store bought step ladder. I thought that would work temporarily for my teen, but she ended up tipping the second night when getting down. Instead I would suggest making your own. There are many easy to build ladder instructions available. Just search loft bed ladder plans.

  4. WalMart has some ladders, then again they have just about everything!
