Where can I get a passport from?

hey I live in Ohio and Im 17 and I plan on traveling and I need help on where to get a passport from can any help me thx?

  1. I assume you're a US citizen.  You can download the application on the state department website:

    http://travel.state.gov/passport/passpor...

    After filling it out, you need to get photos (you can get them at WalMart or wherever).  Then, you take all that with your money to an acceptance site near you (also listed on the website).  

    Good luck!  Plan early because processing can take a while.

    You can also get information from the State Dept.

    Applications take several weeks.

    A quicker alternative is to apply online with a US company like Passport Visas Express that does it all for you for a small fee, and they will get you visas for different countries if you need them. Lots of free info on the web pages below.
