Question:

Where can I get a prepaid credit card for non-US residents?

I live in the Caribbean and the banks where I'm at don't issue prepaid credit cards that I can use to shop online. Can anyone recommend a reputable firm that offers these to people outside the US/Canada?

  1. Paypal might, might come up with a Virtual Credit Card globally in the future. Anyway, since infamous incidents and Patriot Act, it makes USA harder to help non-US residents, although not impossible. Anyways,

    (1) Check Entropay (UK Source) but I dont know their long term credibility. Check with them. Looks like they have the Maestro logo, might help if you have the Maestro card to load funds although I'm not entirely sure. Be wary of fees.

    (2) World Wide Wallet may help if "worldwide is what they mean". Bank of Israel here seems to be a more credible source but "how you fund them" might arise.

    (3) Other suggestions are, opening up a US bank account under your non-resident ID (i-e: ETrade, Wells Fargo back then, Chase >$75000, etc, research & contact their sites). My international networks have done that before.

US bank accounts come with a Visa/Mastercard debit card, kinda like what you're asking for.

    (4) Last resort, using help to shop online such as,(from the USA perspective)

    (a) US Personal Shoppers.com

    (b) J Dean Reps (New York City)

    (c) MyUSABox.com (BuyForMe) New York City
