I know that most big game fishermen catch large sharks, but they generally release them right afterwards. I was wondering if any of them ever fish Great White Sharks. And I was wondering where I could buy a preserved/real great white shark.

  1. Great Whites are now a protected species in most waters of the world.  It's now illegal to catch and kill them.  You will only find them in museums today.

The federal government will not allow dead ones to be imported or dead ones that wash ashore to be retained or possessed by anyone unless they have a permit from the government indicating they are allowed to do this.

The whole purpose is to prevent illegal poaching by individuals who will defraud the government by stating the animal was legitimately killed by other means (washed ashore dead, etc.).  They still don't allow it.

  2. Contact Monsters of the Deep Shark Store in Alabama...They currently have a replica mount of an 8 foot Bull Shark on eBay for $1175....They say to contact them for other full size sharks, and they have a traveling exhibit of 45 different sharks....
