Where can I get a strip for the bottom of the door? Help! Bugs coming under the door!?

Question

The strip broke off the bottom of the door, leaving about a 1" gap between the bottom of the door and the floor.

The guy at Lowe's said to find the manufacturer's name to order a replacement, but I have looked all over, and there isn't a name on the door anywhere. Home Depot couldn't find a strip with the right grooves, either.

just get a door sweep you can get them and mount it where it is flush when door is shut.get them at lowes and home depot.the guy at lowes worked at dairy queen last week...

I'd take the door off the jamb and look at the sweep.  Usually, they're attached with screws.  Replacements are readily available.  

Thisis a classic example of why I don't shop at any big box stores, unless I know exactly what I'm looking for.  Mom & Pop stores have qualified clerks. Yup, the guy who gave you that information DID probably work at Burger King last week.

if you're talking about the actiual threhshold contact the door maker.

you can apply a 'sweep' to the bottom of the door with a s***w driver.  check lowe's, ace hardware or others of that type
