Question:

Where can I get a thin basketball mouthguard?

The dentist says i have a not very bad chipped front tooth. She recommended a mouthguard for when I play basketball, even though I play point guard. I want a thin one so most people won't see it, cause I really don't wanna be the bag dork with a mouthguard. Where can I get a thin basketball mouthguard, not a expensive custom one from the dentist (unless thats the only choice).

  1. Just go to any sport store and they should carry them in the basketball section. They probably won't be thin, or else it would be pointless to wear them. They're usually pretty thick and chunky looking. You can just buy the regular old rubber ones at the store and you melt them to fit your own mouth. Even though it seems kinda big, it should be fine after you have them fitted, because several of my teammates wear them all the time.

  2. Well you will never find a perfect mouth guard unless made by your dentist but you can get many thin ones at loads of sports stores or you can get some at some stores you would not think would have them such as canadian tire and shoppers drug mart that you heat and mold to your teeth and they are like 10 dollars! Someone on my basketball team has one and she said it works great and most of them come in clear so you wont see it! haha
