Question:

Where can I get a weekend job in Atlanta while on house arrest/probation for a white collar felony?

I was sentenced in March of this year to 10 months on house arrest for pirating music & movies. I got 3 years probation, and was never arrested or spent a second in jail. My crime is classified as a white collar crime. I'm 10 credit hours away from completing my Bachelors in Business and am still attending classes.

I'd like a job working weekends (Fri-Sunday, or Sat & Sun) prefer in North Atlanta (Gwinnett Area), but anywhere in Metro Atlanta really. I have searched for a job, posted my resume on multiple job sites, and applied for tons. As soon as I mention though that I'm on house arrest or on probation, the interview goes south (understandibly). I have years of experience in sales, customer service, management, and obvious computer skills.

If anyone can tell me where a good place to begin searching, whom to contact, or where to go .... to find a weekend job with my interesting history, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks.

  1. My suggestion would be to ask your Probation Officer if you are bondable. If you are. Then explain that you are, when applying. Its good that you are honest when seeking employment.

If they are willing to give you a second chance. And they hire you. Go to the Department of Labor, with proof of a hire, a.s.a.p. to be bonded.

    Hope this helps.

  2. try home depot there are two close to , i think they would hire u especially for the the type of "crime" u committed

    good luck

ps what a joke, to give you that  much time for a little crime. that stinks

  3. Ask your probation officer. They usually know of companies who only hire people in your situation to be of benifit to you.  They should definitley know of some one

  4. sorry i can't help you...

but can you explain the details of what you did?  were you distributing the pirated music and movies?  or were you just downloading at home?

    thanks.
