I saw on some videos that there are these little antenna things to catch wireless networks-

Thats what it looks like.

I was wondering where I could get one of those that would directly connect to my laptop for increase wireless network signal.

And by the way I'm looking for major retailers (Staples, Target)

Be sure to include any price or quality details like if this actually works or if I can actually just snap this into my laptop.

  1. id get a wifi repeater.  it repeats the signal of your wireless router.  bestbuy, circuit city any place that sells wireless routers should have it.  they cost about 60bucks.

  2. those aerials are for a router not a laptop

your best bet is a USB dongle available from any computer retailer

  3. www.tigerdirect.com

  4. Well, it matters what kind of reciever you have. You can't "directly" hook it up, unless you WiFi card is external, and has a port for it. If you have an internal WiFi card, good luck. It'll take quite some modding. Explain your card specs.

  5. most laptops the antenna are internal with no external input

what you could get and they work well is a USB high gain wireless adapter like the Edimax EW-7317UHG
