Where can I get a work permit if I'm homeschooled?

is it still possible for me to get it at a local public school even if i don't attend there? and does it really require me to get a physical done?

  1. We got it at the high school we would have attended. CA didn't require physical.


  2. yes you need a physical but you don't need to get the physical at the school...just go to your doctor get one or if you've recently had one I think it is good for 6 months so you get a physical...I am homeschooled and yes as long as you live in the district you can get your working papers...very simple ok? :)

  3. You will need to tell where you are located: the state.  It is different for each state.

    In our state, the homeschooler gets their work permit the same place that the public schooler gets their permit:  department of labor or their web site.

    No physical exam is required.  The employer needs to fill out one part so the student needs a job before getting the permit.  Again, this is just for the state where we live.

  4. I've never heard of anyone needing to get a physical to get a work permit, that's weird (and more than a bit creepy!).

    You don't say where you are but here you can get it from your local shire council.
