  1. Karate isn't on the list for the 2012 games.  There is a protest filled in the next vote.  TKD is also on the chopping block.  If everything goes according to what members of the IOC people have said on the record of how they plan to vote then it will come down to North Korea and their rep said he would vote against it unless WTF(world taekwondo Federation) and ITF (international Taekwondo federation) merge, a dream by many TKD masters but unlikely to happen. So TKD could be gone as well.

  2. Karate isn´t in the Olympics. You see, there are two "international" Karate federations; a European one and a Japanese one. Each has different rules in Karate, and set different "Kata" styles. Each country trains Karate following one of the two federation, therefore they found it would be so unfair for Karate to go to the Olympics because the rules would be unfair to half the countries.

  3. are you even any good?

  4. Win a few tournaments first!

Tournaments are the closest you will get to "Karate Olympics."

Once you win your Regional, State and National Tournaments; you can start thinking about Internationals.
