Where can I get an electric powered engine for a go cart?

I'm making a go cart and want to find an electric engine! :) Anyone know where I can get it from and how I would be able to connect it?

Read this article it is very interesting and good luck, as for the starter motor I have seen this before and the only way that it will work is if you get a motor off some type of very large dump truck but at rate the price would be cheaper going your way plus the starter will burn out anyway.

I remember in the past people used to adapt "Car" starter motors for electric cars......."How to connect it".....not all that difficult, you will need car batteries, a "Starter relay"..to control the high current between the batteries and motor..and a bunch of wiring....its not difficult but too detailed to write up in this column.
